Hello Class of 1987! Thanks so much to everyone on the reunion committee for all your preparations once again!! I am going to jump on the opportunity to be the first to use this fancy message board this year. Things are about to become a bit unpredictable for my husband and I, and I want to be sure to connect with you all. The timing of the reunion is not going to work for us as we are transitioning from our lives in Shanghai, China to Mumbai, India. We join Oberoi International School on July 22nd - so the craziness of the new academic year will be in full swing as you are all watching Craig and most likely Linda and Gordy up on stage. It would have been fun to see everyone again! I hope you have a wonderful turnout and a super fun weekend!   If ever interested in checking out Mumbai in the next few years, look me up. We can be reached at geisenkischs@yahoo.com. Our home is always open to friends and family; even if we are away/traveling during school holidays.   Wishing you all the best - continued health and happiness. John and I are doing really well and have loved Shanghai! We are ready for a new adventure and hope to see you in another 5 or 10 years! Sending lots of love to the families and close friends of classmates who are now at rest. We realize everyday how very fortunate we are and are thinking of you all! Catherine Geisen-Kisch

I just happened to pop onto this site on Nov.20 2010. I was very sad to hear of Grants wife. People, it just goes to show all of us that life is so very short and valuable. We have lost so many friends and it makes those thing s that we thought were so big seem so small. I pray for this great class of 1987 to have peace and joy and the strength to keep stepping forward. This christmas I want to encourage poeple to spend time not money  with the ones we love and make momories... that they \'ll remember.
  God Bless Pastor Michele Schuster

Wow, what a cool time! For starters, I have tried to 'sign' this guest book a couple of times and it hasn't worked. I am hoping that this time it goes through. Has anybody else noticed that the zipper at the top of this page isn't working properly? Anyway, I am sorry, as many others are as well, that there wasn't more time to talk to everyone and catch up over the past two decades. I definitely agree with Julie and Michelle, let's do a 25th and not wait another ten years. This was so much more fun than I could have hoped for. Mike L. now that Iknow you are out in the Seattle area, drop me an e-mail and maybe we can get together sometime, Tim K. so happy for you and your 4 month old. You look to be quite the proud papa and on Sunday you looked like a natural. Don D. congrats again on the upcoming birth. It is a wild ride being a parent...but a great one. Remember the parent's mantra 'It is a phase...it will pass.' And to all of you that kept Adrienne (my wife) going out on the dance floor THANK YOU, for you gave me more of an opportunity to talk to many more people that I have thought about over the past, say 20 years or so. Thanks also to Gordy and Linda for the wonderful gift of a safe driver for the nights of festivities. And thanks as well to the reunion committee for making the festivities very fun and enjoyable and something that we will look forward to again! Peace, Kent

What a great weekend!! It was so fun to see the "fruits of our labor"! And even though we had four days, it did go fast. I have to say I did not last as long as some of you party animals, but I had a blast. I didn't get to talk to people very long it seems. I have to say Brenda Young, you are hilarious! I am so sorry for the things I said to you in grade school!! It was such a great idea to take the Murphy Mustang "now" picture! I will post the "then" and "now" once I recover from my husband's reunion which is this weekend!! Cathy Geisen, you look fabulous and you are as well-spoken as I remember, with the occasional explitive thrown in! Linda, it has been so great reconnecting with you after all these years. There are so many I enjoyed talking to! I think our class looks fabulous, and like Julie said, "has aged like a fine wine." Darin D., glad you made it, and that Cordell found you when you started walking from the golf course! I told you we had DD drivers!! Glad you are safe! I should be recovered enough in five years if you all want to do this again!!

As I return to 2007 back from 1987 I am remebering the faces of many old and some not so old friends which I got to connect or reconnect with. To all the organizers of this terriffic reunion. Thanks, you really out did yourselves. To all of you who danced, sang, and enjoyed life on the dance floor, remeber to be free and live life to the fullest, as I know you will. A special thanks to Julie J and her husband Jim, thanks for making me feel so welcome. To the music man and the party queen, Gordon and Linda, can't wait to see you two again, soon I hope, keep it rock'n. To John and Lynn Theiman, keep in touch, and thanks John for letting me steal Lynn to the dance floor. Michelle Schuster thanks for making me laugh when you thought I needed it. Catherine Geisen thanks for the talk at Linda and Gordy's. To Matt Booth stay in touch, I will be heading down south to see ya,keep the cray-fish pot hot. To Brenda Young thanks for the dance that took 20 years to accomplish. Thanks to all who put up with me on the dance floor. To save the best for last, Lisa Mangseth you are a terrific lady, first class all the way. When you need this friend I will always be there for you. Thanks again to all, don't be a strainger, Lets get together for whatever, does not have to be every 5 or 10 years. Julie, Jim, John, Lynn, Linda, Gordy this fall, let's not forget. Hopefully we can snag Lisa in as well and anyone else who would want to go. Remember it is kinder, "To be brutally honest, than to lie with kindness." Thanks again to all, rock on 1987 Roy

Gosh, where do I start? Thanks to everyone that had a hand in organizing such a great event. It was more fun than I could have imagined (as some of you that saw me late Saturday night!). I spoke to some of you more than others but it was nice seeing you all after so many years. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone much sooner next time around. Thanks to several people for the dances, the drinks, the conversation and ride home!

A HUGE THANK YOU to my best friend, Linda for giving me the push to go to our 20 year reunion!! I had a great time even with a migraine. There wasn't enought time to catch up with everyone but I will do better next time! Also thank you to the rest of the planning committee for putting together a fantastic weekend of fun and memories. Until we meet again....live life to it's fullest!

Holy Cow that was FUN! My head still hurts, I didn't remember what "one too many" screwdrivers felt like. Props out to Gordy for the best dancer award, I want a job like that. Did anyone else see the 18 yr old Vincent Chase look-a-like bumping on dance floor? I think Ashton Kutcher is his idol. Seriously though, thanks to everyone for organizing this wonderful event. I know it's a lot of work trying to track down hundreds of people. I still feel like it went by way too fast to really catch up with everyone. I stopped at my mom's house on my way home and told her how sad it was thinking I wouldn't see most of these people for another ten years and she had an interesting idea. "Since so many of you live or work in the cities why don't you have a random happy hour or lunch gathering every 6 months or so at a rotating location with just a standing invitation for everyone and use something like Evite or a website to coordinate it." I can't believe I missed the hot tub and I even had a poolside room, dangit. Take care everyone.

This weekend was a BLAST!!! Thank you to all of you who stayed and watched me embarrass myself Saturday night. You all decided to stay and have fun and that's what makes a party great. That was the best dance I've played is 2 or 3 years. I've been sacrificing my dignity in the name of entertainment for a long time now and it's nice to know it's appreciated. Thanks also for allowing "my boys" to stay and party with us. They all said they hope their reunions are as fun as ours.

Wow! Where do I even begin? This reunion couldn't have been any better if you tried, except maybe we should have partied the whole week. Does anyone else feel like there just wasn't enough time to talk to everyone? For those of you fortunate or unfortunate to be at Zorbaz on Thursday, you got to see that crazy side of me. Its amazing what 8-10 beers will do for your confidence. Thanks to Andy Anderson for the great conversations, and the dance lessons. To Gordy, thanks for the backup on Wanted Dead or Alive, and to Nena and Todd for your kind words for my singing; I hear there is footage that I need to see. Thanks to Gordy and Linda, for a safe ride, a place to crash and breakfast afterwards. As for the rest of the party, did saturday night rock or what. I was honored to win the "golden knob" award. It will have a treasured spot on my wall of shame. I'll be bringing it to the next one. Thanks again to Andy Anderson for the dances and great conversation; thanks to Jamie Ulseth, for being so much fun, and for the dances; thanks to Cathy Geisen; it was fun to hear what's up in your life; to Lisa Mangseth, it was great to get to talk to you; to Chris Pollard, I see drinks and socializing, possibly at Chino's; to Gordy for all of the great dance music; my voice is still hoarse and my body is still sore. And finally thanks to our wonderful reunion committee, for such an great time. You kicked ass! And to our class. We rule! Class of 87! Until we meet again, Brian "golden knob" Donovan

OMG!!! What a great weekend! I never anticipated having such a great time. The Thursday night gig at Zorbaz was a great way to step into the weekend and get the ball rolling--I haven't danced that much since the 90's! Saturday night was the topper with more dancing and lots of laughs, talking to people I haven't talked to since grade school or ever. I have some fun pictures and will do my best to get them on the site soon--as the camera episode on Saturday night proves, I AM electronically challenged. I'm sorry Andie and I ditched the after party on Saturday night, but my hubby was glad to see me home as the baby was up and hungry--next reunion I won't have all the bfeeding breaks and can a have a few cocktails! Thanks to everyone who helped make the weekend happen and for all who came and made it FUN!!!

Hello everyone! Not sure if anyone will be checking the site at this time, but I wanted to say how wonderful it was to see everyone this past weekend. There were simply too many people to talk to, but I took the sage advice of our leader Kent Rime in talking to many whom I unfortunately missed out on getting to know twenty years prior ... we all have such interesting stories to tell! The 'door knob' prize was so clever and I loved the duo by Jamie and Gordy. I will save my punk clown wig for the 25th, or 30th ... however, I do fear that I may be the first to declare having had a hip replacement surgery given the addictiveness of DJ Gordy's music selection. Thanks to Jamie and Jeff for having the courage to sneak into the hot tub with me; for Chris Pollard for being my wonderful chauffer and dress consultant; to the Epple and Hare clan for letting me tag along for a greasy 2 a.m. breakfaat at Ctry Kitchen; to Linda for the after party; and to Jen, Michelle K and Michelle G for helping me recall memories from our scooping days at Bridgeman's and our time with FHA as well as all of the genuine hugs and comments from friends ... so many positive memories had been lost overtime for me and it was really healing to be back and have such a welcoming and fun experience. I think the written comment by Cordell sums it up .. we ALL have grown "or improved". So many commented on this feeling of comaraderie. Lastly of course is a huge thank you to Michelle, Julie, Linda, Chrissy and all others who created a memorable 20th reunion. I hope to make the next gathering, but in the interim, come visit my husband and I in sunny Cartagena. Por favor guardar contact con migo (geisenkischs@yahoo.com)!!! Hasta pronto!

Wow, I was still waiting for the 10th reunion to come around, what happened? Just got a message from Raquel Buckley about this site. Talk about bringing back some memories, we went to grade school together out at Wendigo, thanks for making the effort Raquel! (I'm pretty sure I had a crush on you in 5th grade) Was in GR in June but won't be making it for the reunion though it has been great to check in on everybodies whereabouts. Thanks to all who are maintaining this site, it's fantastic!

I am in-country this summer visiting family and will plan to attend the reunion ... It would be wonderful to see everyone and get up to the north woods!!! Unfortunately my husband, John, who was with me during the last reunion will have already returned to our current home in Cartagena, Colombia. He has to be back on the 7th as he is a physics teacher and classes begin ... I on the other hand have some flexibility! We got engaged, in fact, the weekend after the last reunion while camping in the boundary waters so I am bummed that he will not be able to join me but I will bring lots of photos ... anyone in need of a sunny vacation spot you are always is always welcome to come and visit ... we will be living on the Caribbean one more year at least ... we'll will talk more soon! I'm with you Linda! I am disappointed that some people are not signed up to go! It would be so fun to have a reunion with as many from our class as we can get. Come on everyone, don't you just want to go to see how that guy or girl who sat in front of you in English class looks now?? I think it is pretty amazing to see how different our lives are now and where our journeys in life have taken us. And how different that probably is from what we thought our futures held. I hope some of you that are still undecided, will choose to go and have a fun time!!

A quick update to all classmates- our final numbers go to our vendors in two weeks!! This is the number our vendors will use to provide dinner for, seating, wait staff, beverages, etc. The reunion committee will pay for both nights events the first week of August, all of our vendors need to be paid, and the check cleared before our reunion. PLEASE understand that if we have too many people just show up and pay at the door for either or both nights this is what is going to happen: We will not have enough food, seating, beverages, and issues with the wait staff. The place we are holding our events will be either to small or way to large. We have had so many people contact us and mention people they say plan to attend-we have had no contact from these people. As of now we are looking at higher numbers of turn out-however if we do not hear from you, they will not be added to our head count and we will have a disastrous weekend with our vendors- If you plan to attend and pay at the door-please send me an email so I can add you to our head count- Your reunion committee has put in hundreds of hours worth of work to provide fun for you-please do your part- I apologize for my bluntness, however I question if people really understand how much goes into providing something like this to the class and the success depends strictly on our classmates to do their part. Please be considerate…let us know if you are coming!! Our committee wished to thank all of those whom have RSVP’d and sent their money to Michelle-

I see the way to get your attention is to mention the amount of beer available depending on our RSVP numbers. Never the less, whatever problems should arise I realize that when it all boils down to it, it really is Mike Hare's fault. Send in your RSVP's and email Gordy with the tunes you want to hear for Saturday night- Let's do some chatter about Saturday AM...are we wanting to meet at Nesbitt Island and drop a keg? Or am I going over board? I really rarely drink beer, however would be willing to throw some $ at a keg to help the cause. How many people are planning to gather on Sat on the lake? I have had many emails, and much chatter however it would be great to have some better ideas as to numbers. I have been told that we can gather on the island, large gatherings are frowned upon if they get out of hand. So for every frown you see flash them a smile to balence it out and keep your hands in line :)

Julie, I knew that mentioning the liquor might run low would catch some people's attention!!! :) Obviously SOME things haven't changed! Thanks to everyone who has gotten their money in. It has been fun to get notes from some of you (and I mean that for everyone who has enclosed a note). To those of you who haven't gotten your money in...What are you waiting for?? You know it's going to be fun! All you GR dwellers don't think you can get by w/out sending your $$. We need headcounts as Julie said. You guys have no excuse for not coming, so get your buts in gear!! :)

Hey Class, Just a quick message. I have been contacted by dozens of classmates looking for people and contact information to classmates. For so many I have that contact info. I have decided that for privacy reasons I will not be giving this information out to people. I feel that if you wish to be contacted you will register and provide a contact ( email is all we offer for info and it is only a link not your email address )-(open). Please keep this in mind as you visit the site or or have a contact to a classmate not yet registered. People are searcing for one another and would like to chat. I feel bad that for many I have the contact info however feel that I can not / should not give that info out. Just a bit of information I wished to pass along. In closing as always.....please register and check the MIA list and forward info on those you may have or contact them and encourage them to register. * Sorry.... I could not help myself..At the reunion I will be the person wearing the t-shirt that has the phrase "register...MIA list" as that is all people will remember me for :)*

After joining the committee and being completely harassed by Julie, I figured I better register. I will try to track down as many people as possible. Hopefully still living in GR will help. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Hey class. I've been following the discussions on classmates.com and after seeing the class of 86 do such a nice job on their website, I'd like to thank Julie and Craig for getting us off to a great start here. I look forward to seeing more pictures in the photo section. It is amazing to think that 20 years have passed. So much has changed in our lives since then that it almost seems like a dream. I look forward to seeing everyone and re-establishing friendships that have faded through time and distance. I wish you all health and happiness and hope everyone can make it next summer.
